Rome_from_Gianicolo_Park. On our last afternoon in Rome, a few friends and I were out walking and headed
up to the top of the hill overlooking Rome. In the foreground is the Trastevere neighborhood where
we were staying. Almost in the center you can make out the white Victor Emmanuel monument
(lovingly referred to by locals as the 'wedding cake'). This is a side view, so most of it doesn't show here.
