Naples_Vesuvius. If you continue the lines of those outer flanks up to a single peak,
you get an idea of how big it was in 79 A.D. when it blew and how much vaporized.
And yet today, there are 4 million people in the area, that is still an active volcano,
and there is no evacuation plan in place (not that it would do any good with those narrow
streets and the Neopolitans wouldn't follow instructions anyway (they hate being told what to do).
