Carrara. So, on our way to Lerici and our boat ride up the Cinque Terre coast,
we had a side trip to the quarries at Carrara. This involved a rather hair-raising drive
up the narrow, one-way road with many, many switchbacks. Our bus driver
Mario did a spectacular job. Here our local guide Sara gave us the history while
showing and explaining all the old hand tools and translating for the wonderful
musuem owner (background)
